Riverside Academic Challenge team wraps up regular season

The Riverside Academic Challenge team braved the weather to travel to Torrington on Feb. 10 to compete in its last regular season meet.

The team of Falcon Dunnar, Hailey Scott and Ben Mendenhall fought it out with teams from around the state. Their best performance came against one of the better teams in the state, the senior team from Cheyenne East High School, against which they put up 115 points.

The Torrington meet used the toss-up bonus format where teams compete to answer the first question and, if successful, have first chance at the next four follow-up questions.

The Riverside team has previously qualified for the state competition to be held at Central Wyoming College in Riverton on Saturday, March 23.
