Week 1 of trap shooting is in the books for the Rebels.

“First week of shooting went well for us,” said Coach Calvin Brown. “The biggest challenge right now is getting everyone out there to shoot. Spring is such a busy time of year for everyone and the kids are no different. We end up out at the gun club twice a week to try to get everyone their scores, but even giving the kids a couple opportunities to shoot, we still had a couple of kids who weren’t able to record scores last week.”

For those that did get scores, six of Riverside’s shooters placed in the top 26. Elias Jensen placed sixth with a score of 22. Cal Rueter took 19th place with 17.50.  Nicholas Olmstead was 20th with a score of 16.50. Bridger McGinnis tied for 21st place with a score of 16.  Joshua Dannar and Lane Owen tied for 24th with a score of 15.50.

Those scores placed Riverside fourth overall in their conference which includes Wright, Upton, Dubois, Hulett, Niobrara County and Burns.
