Riverside competed in Competition Week 1 of the Wyoming Clay Target League.
“I felt the first week went pretty well,” said Coach Calvin Brown. “Most of the kids are showing improvement.”
Riverside’s top five individual athletes were: 1, Avery Clifford 32/50; 2, Ridge Lewis 32/50; 3, Cal Reuter, 29/50; 4, Lane Owen 26/50 and 5, Hayden Paxton 26/50.
Overall, Riverside ranked seventh in the Conference.
McKenzie Potter is tied for 12th on the girls’ side of competition.
“With one of the trap houses down, we haven’t had the opportunity to practice as much as in the past couple of years, but that’s alright. The kids are having fun and they will continue to improve each week,” said Brown.
This week, Riverside will shoot for Competition Week 2.
