Riverside trap team ends third season with two making top 25

With the conclusion of week five of competition, the Riverside High School trap team wrapped up the spring shoot season. They moved into fifth place in their conference and had two top 25 finishers with Ridge Lewis in 17th and Mason Rosencranse tied in 24th.
Individual top five scorers of the week were 1, Lewis, 42/50; 2, Rosencranse, 41/50; 3, Avery Clifford, 37/50; tied for 4, Eli Jensen, Cal Reuter, Lane Owen 31/50.
Top five season average per round was 1, Lewis, 19.10; 2, Rosencranse, 18.5; 3, Clifford, 17.5; 4, Reuter, 16.9; 5, Hayden Paxton, 15.13.
“Overall, we had a really good season, with all of our shooters showing improvement and growth,” said Coach Calvin Brown. “We have about four weeks until our state shoot in Torrington, so we are hoping to break a few more clays to stay tuned up before we head south to compete. This is our third year taking kids to the state tournament. It is a fun time with the kids and a great experience for them. They get to shoot alongside kids from other schools at a really nice facility and get exposed to the atmosphere of a big shoot.”
