RMS netters face Burlington, Rocky Mt.

The Riverside Middle School volleyball team had two games last weekend. 

The Lady Rebels started Friday, Sept. 19 in Burlington, where the A team lost by scores of 20-25, 10-25, 9-15.

“The A team is working on learning their 6-2 rotation, and focusing on how to play defense,” said Coach Laura Godfrey. “I have faith that the athletes will begin to put all the skills together to start to see victories.” 

The B team lost in three sets:  11-25, 15-25, 7-15, but Hanna Shaw provided a highlight, serving overhand with 90% accuracy.

On Saturday, Sept. 20, the A team had a close match against Rocky Mountain in their own gym.  Kelsey Peterson led in serving accuracy with no errors in her overhand serve. Harper Juneau set up the ball 12 times and led the team with three kills. Whitley set for the hitters 11 times and had two kills. 

The Rebels play at home in the high school gym Friday, Sept. 26 at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Then the Rebels travel to play Thermopolis on Saturday, Sept. 27.
