Roger Walker Marchant

Roger Walker Marchant was born in Cowley on Feb. 4, 1934, to Sara Louise and Austin Caufield Marchant. Roger was the oldest of four boys.Roger married Patricia Kelsey in 1951 and in this union had six boys, Michael, Patrick, Kirk, Kevin, Nick and Cash. Roger and Pat raised their boys on their ranch at Crooked Creek. When they retired they sold the ranch and made a new home in Byron.Roger died Dec. 6, 2015, at the New Horizons Care Center in Lovell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Louise Marchant; his wife, Patricia Marchant; his sons Michael, Kevin, Nick and Cash; grandson Justin Marchant and four great-grandchildren, Philip Almeter, Carissa Partridge, Dalton Wood and Kelsey Marchant.He is survived by sons Patrick (Connie) and Kirk (Beverly); grandchildren Tonya (Roger) Willis, Pattie (George) Almeter, Julie (Jim) Marchant, Travis (Nikki) Marchant, Molly (Taylor) Cox, Austin (Kayla)  Marchant, Sarah (Jason) Willette, Jason (Trista) Marchant, Kail (Elizabeth)  Marchant, Jennifer (Tyler) Haines, Tye (Teri) Marchant and Danny (Desiree) Marchant; 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by three brothers, Jack (Barb) Marchant, Ward Marchant and David (Evelynn) Marchant.Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Haskell Funeral Home. Viewing will be Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery.
