Spurs ‘n’ Sparkles Art Gala Saturday in Shell
Put on your cowgirl and cowboy boots for a grand time Saturday night at the Shell Community Hall. It is the Big Horn County Arts Guild’s third annual Winter Arts Gala. The theme is, “Spurs ‘n’ Sparkles: A Cowboy Ball at the Hall.” Join the artists of the guild for a western night out featuring fine art, music and food.
Rebecca Kinane, president of the guild, explained, “This year’s theme, “Spurs & Sparkles: A Cowboy Ball at the Hall” was inspired by the culture of Wyoming and the people that embody that lifestyle, especially the local farm and ranch scene. Plus, Wyoming is The Cowboy State.”
Kinane noted, “Shell Hall was the choice of venue this year by a unanimous vote from the Guild members, as well as lots of requests by the community, and fits perfectly with the theme.”
A silent auction is part of the fun, as is the art reveal, where artists unveil the art they created just for the gala. Twenty artists will be featured.
Deanna Skillman, past president of the guild, said she hopes the gala is a success under the leadership of the new board. She is looking forward to mingling with the guests this year. For the previous two events she was busy ensuring the events went off without a hitch.
“It was an honor the past three years to hold the office of the president and help create this event for the Big Horn County areas and artists,” said Skillman. “I worked with some amazing officers and wonderful guild members who made this event what it is today.”
Music and a “graze” table rounds out the event. Tickets, at $45 each, are available on the guild’s website, bhcagwyoming.com, or at Bob’s Diner and Bakery in Greybull.
