Three Rebels celebrate postseason honors
Coach Hamilton had good things to say about the Riverside Lady Rebels after completing his first season at the helm of the program.
“I always like to share all the great things about our team,” Coach Hamilton remarked. “With the conclusion of the Riverside girls’ basketball 2025-26 season, it’s important to take a moment to recognize and celebrate our outstanding players who earned post-season awards.”
Johnna Clifford, Varissa Olsen and Brooklynn Paxton all made the all-conference team.
“These three seniors made a lasting impact on our program, playing significant roles in the team’s success throughout the year. In addition to this impressive accomplishment, Brooklynn Paxton also received co-conference player of the year, sharing the prestigious honor with Naomi McNiven of Burlington.
“At the coaches meeting in Casper, where all coaches cast their votes, Brooklynn Paxton received further recognition for her achievements. She was named one of only 14 ‘all-state” players for the season, a remarkable distinction. This marks the third consecutive year that Brooklynn has received this all-state honor, highlighting her consistent excellence and commitment to the sport.
Hamilton ended, “These awards and honors are a testament not only to the hard work and dedication of the players themselves, but also to the incredible support from their teammates, families, friends, and the loyal fans of Lady Rebel basketball. Achievements like these would not be possible without this collective effort. To all future Lady Rebel players: Dream big, for the sky is the limit!”
