Tom Jahrig
Tom Jahrig
Tom Jahrig passed away as a result of a fatal vehicle accident on July 5, 2021. He was 80 years old.
Tom was born in Worland, Wyo., but he made Manderson his home. He lived in Manderson for 31 years.
Even though his age never slowed him down, he was always helping others when he wasn’t doing his own hobbies.
His company never left without a smile from all the jokes he told.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding the four-wheeler. He also loved to can. He also played with his dogs; wherever he went, they would go. A lot of his friends would stop just to say hello.
Tom — and all his jokes — will surely be missed.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Sara Jahrig; one sister, Shirley Jahrig; a brother-in-law, Ken Saunders, and two nephews, D.J. Fronk and Henry Study.
Tom has one son, Albert Jahrig of Manderson; a sister, Helen Saunders of Manderson; and one brother, George Jahrig of California. He is also survived by a lot of grandkids, nieces and nephews and his very best friend, Lynda Dodge.
As per Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life was held Saturday, July 10 at the Manderson park.
