Town of Basin clean-up this Saturday
The town of Basin’s annual clean-up day is this Saturday, April 30 at the fairgrounds from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Pete Smet Recycling will have trailers on site for metal.
Wyoming Modern Technologies will also be on site to take electronic waste such as computers, printers, cell phones, etc.
The town will also be collecting batteries and oil. The oil must be in small, closed containers. Residents may bring their oversized items to the fairgrounds for disposal.
A volunteer crew will be available to come to residents’ properties to pick up items between 9 and 11:30 a.m. Arrangements must be made prior to Saturday by calling Town Hall at 307-568-3331.
Double J Junk will be on site to collect items such as furniture to recycle.
New this year is the opportunity for town residents to receive a certificate good for a free dump at the landfill. The certificates are available at town hall and are good through April 30. The certificates are valid for town residents only and are limited to one pick-up load or 6 x 20 trailer load.
No commercial haulers or business garbage will be accepted.
In honor of Earth Day, the town is providing free seedlings at the fairgrounds during the event. There will be free coffee and cookies as well.
