Town races take shape

Basin, Manderson, Burlington municipal ballots set for primary
The field is set for the municipal races that will appear on the August primary election ballot.
In Basin, incumbents Carl Olson and Stuart DesRosier joined Linda Weeks, who’d filed earlier, in the race for two four-year terms on the town council.
In Burlington, there are three candidates for a pair of four-year terms on the council. In the final days of the filing window, Cortney Todd Allen joined incumbents Jennifer Booth and Don Hibbert.
In Manderson, voters will be asked to fill three seats.  The filing period ended with two candidates, Christopher Saunders and Tim Patrick, vying for one two-year term, and one candidate, Judy Bury, vying for the two four-year terms.
The primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 20.
