Trump himself said he killed Roe v. Wade and is proud of it

Dear Editor:

You are right, Terri Hobmeir. I should be listing sources, so in rebuttal, let’s start.

Type in Project 2025, chapter 10. What she didn’t tell you in the chapter the cuts to subsides, cuts to SNAP, WIC, free lunch program and the USDA, kind of like safe food.

Natrona candidates for school board all agree that breakfast and lunches should be free, according to Casper paper, Oct. 5, 2024.

True, neither candidate has endorsed Project 2025, but JD Vance did write the forward and Trump has gone to many Heritage Center conventions touting how smart they are.

As to IVF, type in Tammy Duckworth DS-4445 and you can read the bill. Now your complaint was that it would use taxpayer money, but I remember Trump said “either the government (taxpayers) and insurance pay for it” according to NBC News on Aug 28, 2023.

As to abortions, NBC reported on May 17, 2023, quote “I was able to kill Roe v. Wade.” He gave himself credit for the various bans that are being advanced by conservatives across the nation. You know the states, but of course, he doesn’t tout that much anymore, realizing women are mad and leaving in droves. Now he wants to be our protector. Such hypocrisy. Do I blame him? You bet I do. But hey, don’t take my word. He said it and is proud.

Georgia Judge Robert McBurney — according to Fox News Sept. 30. 2024 — overturned its abortion ban, saying women’s bodies are not community property. He also said that in Georgia’s constitution, it says competent people can make their own health care decisions. Sounds a lot like Wyoming — you know, competent decisions.

Here’s a new word to memorize: minimal national standard. It’s a softer way to say abortion bans. I encourage all to read his ruling. You young women, it will be men and women my age who decide what you can and cannot do with your bodies, what can and cannot be done for your daughters’ bodies. This is also for the men who love us.

I will be voting blue for women’s freedom and that no one has the right to tell anyone
what they can and cannot do with their bodies.

Respectfully,

Lynn Meier
