Two men charged with illegal taking of wolf

CODY (WNE) — Court proceedings are underway for two individuals who allegedly took a wolf within Park County illegally.

Noah and Cole Mick are both scheduled for June jury trials in Park County Circuit Court, after receiving citations from Wyoming Game and Fish game warden Travis Crane. According to court records, Noah is a Cody resident, and Cole lives in Glenwood Springs, Colo.

Crane’s citation indicates that the alleged crimes were committed in Park County at Skull Creek/Pat O’Hara Creek, on June 1, 2025. An affidavit was not on file for the case.

Noah, the younger of the pair, was cited for three offenses, including hunting trophy game during a closed season, taking a gray wolf classified as a trophy game animal without a license, and false statement/failure to report/register a gray wolf kill.

The older Cole faces just one charge of taking a gray wolf classified as a trophy game animal without license. 

Neither Cole nor Noah is currently in detention, as they both posted their respective $150 and $250 cash bonds during their February 27 appearance hearings.

The state G&F department declined to comment on the case, citing a department policy of not commenting in ongoing cases.
