Valerie Wurtz

Valerie Wurtz was born Valerie Kay Wood on Feb. 14, 1948, to Fenton C. Wood and June Walker Wood. She was the third of eight children including Mary, Michael, Peggy, Janet, Julie, William and Richard.Valerie was preceded in death by her brother Michael in 1963, her husband Donald Wurtz, her father on Jan. 16, 2010, and her mother on Aug. 16, 2010.After battling a long illness Valerie died on March 3, 2016, leaving behind her four children Steven, Nadine, Misty and Jody, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sisters Mary, Peggy, Janet and Julie, brothers William and Richard and numerous nieces and nephews.Services will be held on March 12, 2016, in Thermopolis at the LDS Church at 1 p.m. A dinner will follow at the church. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
