Virginia Jane Hicks

Virginia Jane Hicks, 62, of Basin, Wyo., passed away Oct. 28, 2025, in Billings, Mont.

Virginia was born Dec. 23, 1962, in Rawlins, Wyo., to parents Sturgeon and Alice (McCartney) Clubb. She attended Walla Walla Community College, where she earned her licensed practical nurse (LPN) certification.

On May 4, 2012, Virginia married the love of her life, Thayne Hicks, in Tucson, Ariz. For the past 11 years, she worked in retail customer service, where she was well known for her warm smile, cheerful spirit and kindness toward everyone she met.

Virginia dearly loved her family and treasured every moment spent with them. In her quiet time, she enjoyed watching crime-related television shows and relaxing at home with loved ones.

She is survived by her husband, Thayne Hicks; her children, George Peck and Whitney Hicks, both of Casper, and Heather Clubb of Basin, Wyo.; her siblings, Richard Polzer, Ronald Clubb, Tracy Touraille and Glenda Rouse; and her beloved grandchildren, Abigail Garcia and Marcos Garcia. 

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place at the Antelope Butte Crematory in Greybull and arrangements have been entrusted to Atwood Family Funeral Directors.
