Walk to fight cancer fundraiser Friday in Worland

Join the Strides Against Cancer of Big Horn and Washakie County Walk on Friday, Oct. 18 starting at 1:30 p.m. at Pioneer Square, located at 9th and Big Horn in Worland. The minimum suggested contribution is $10.

One- and two-mile walks are planned. A passport will be issued for the one-mile walkers. The two-mile challenge will take walkers from Pioneer Square to Blair’s and Ace Hardware, where they will talk selfies with an employee in a pink shirt (Blair’s) and by a pink item in the store or one with a pink ribbon symbol (Ace). All walkers must have passport or photos turned in by 5:30 p.m. to be eligible for prizes.

Anyone including walkers may ring the bell for cancer or deliver a Tata for breast cancer awareness. Honor or remember your loved ones with a colorful, attractive bra with personalization and messages if desired.

Hang a pink ribbon for same reason. Ribbons should be legal paper size or bigger to show from display.

This event is for everyone and sponsored by the American Cancer Society.
