Wayne Alan Mosegard

Wayne Alan Mosegard, 78, passed away on Nov. 16, 2024, in Billings, Mont. 

Wayne was born Jan. 2, 1946 in Basin, Wyo., to Frank and Helen (Rubis) Mosegard.  He completed his schooling at Manderson and graduated in 1964.  He married his high school sweetheart, Sheila Schwartz, in 1967.  Wayne went on to the University of Wyoming and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture.  Once he finished college, he returned to Manderson and farmed with his father.  

Wayne was awarded multiple awards through the years for his farming.  He even won trips to California, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. Wayne’s hobbies included fishing, photography and wooden toy making.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila; four children,  Monty (Jackie) Mosegard of Ralston, Wyo., Brenda (Gredo) Goldenstein of St Cloud, Minn., Amy (Mark) Hoyt of Burlington, Wyo., and Erin (Tim) Wright of Douglas, Wyo.; seven grandchildren: Cole Mosegard, Carly (Kyle) Riley, Ryan Hoyt, Brooke Wright, Bailey Wright, Connor Hoyt and Luke Goldenstein.  Wayne is especially blessed with two great grandchildren, William and Kendall Riley. 

Other special people are Monty’s stepdaughter Necia Kacmar and Kyla (Logan) Hackett and Monty’s grandchildren,  Aaralynn, Hailee, Katee, Brayden, Jacob and Haizyl.

A visitation will be held at the Bryant Funeral Home chapel in Worland, Wyo., on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at 6 p.m. A graveside service will be held at the Mount View Cemetery in Basin, Wyo., at 11 a.m. Nov, 22, 2024, with a celebration of life following at Cloud Peak Bible Church in Manderson, Wyo., at 12:30 p.m..
