WCAA releases statement regarding property value certification

The Wyoming State Board of Equalization announced on June 11,2026, that it will not certify any residential property values for the 2026 tax year with the statutory 4% cap applied due to the question of its constitutionality.

At this time, the Wyoming County Assessor’s Association is reviewing the information provided and seeking additional clarification regarding the Board’s decision, its legal implications, and its potential impact on the 2026 property tax process and Wyoming taxpayers.

Until further information is available, the Association will not be providing additional comment.
