We can help with a cool school project

The Riverside Life Skills class and After School Program are both participating in “Love Makes the World Go Round.” They are seeking to get a postcard, valentine or item from all 50 states. They also hope to get some from other countries. Since the paper has readers from all over the USA, I thought we could help.

Each group has a map of the USA and of the world. When the mail arrives, they will put a heart on the location of where the mail came from.  ESS Para and Beyond the Bell Middle High Mentor Eron Lampman said for the younger students it’s a good way to teach kids about letters and how big something can get. For the older groups like the BTB kiddos, you can talk a lot more about the places they are coming from and the number of miles it has traveled. It is a good teaching tool.

Last year she only did the Life Skills Class. The students love getting the mail, opening it and putting the stickers on the map. This year she added the afterschool program. If you participate, please send one to Beyond the Bell AND Life Skills Class, both c/o Eron Lampman, PO Box 1007, Basin, WY 82410 Please send before Valentine’s Day.
