The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):
February 19 — Lost dog was reported on Big Horn Avenue.
A VIN inspection was done at the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office (BHCSO).
Extra patrol was done at the school.
February 20 — Officer responded to a civil standby on C. Street.
A VIN inspection was done at Washington Park on C Street.
A VIN inspection was done at J&E Irrigation on South Third Street.
Business check was done at Overland Express Mart.
Extra patrol was done at the Basin Boat Ramp.
Extra patrol was done at the school.
February 21 — Extra patrol was done at Basin School Zone.
Officer escorted the wrestling team out of town to State.
A medium black and white dog was found on Myrtle Avenue and Eighth Street.
The BPD received a traffic complaint on a semi-truck, baby blue in color and with possible Oklahoma plates, that was pulling an empty flatbed trailer on Highway 20 South.
February 22 — Extra patrol was done at Basin School Zone.
Officer responded to a suspicious circumstance on West E Street.
The BPD received information from a resident on South Third Street.
A business check was done at the Overland Express Mart.
Extra patrol was done at the school.
February 23 — Extra patrol was done at the school.
Community relations call at the Big Horn County Library.
A VIN inspection was done at Antelope Street.
A business check was done at Family Dollar.
Extra patrol was done at Wyoming Retirement Center (WRC).
Extra patrol was done at the school.
February 24 — Lost dog was reported on West E Street.
Business check was done at Family Dollar.
Officer assisted the public on North Sixth Street.
Traffic complaint on West Second Street.
Suspicious circumstances on River Drive.
Business check was done at Basin Market.
Officer escorted the wrestling team home from State, starting at the Big Horn County fairgrounds.
February 25 —Extra patrol was done at the school.
Business check was done at East B Street.
Extra patrol was done at Mount View Cemetery.
Officer assisted the public at the BHCSD.

Feb. 19 — 10:47 a.m.: Deputies responded to reported livestock abuse on Highway 31 in Manderson. They made contact with the owner and all was well.
7:51 p.m.: Deputies at Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office in Basin handled a rapid 911 call.
8:03 p.m.: On Highway 20 South in Manderson, deputies initiated a traffic stop. A warning was issued.
Feb. 20 — 1:19 a.m.: Deputies assisted a motorist with an abandoned vehicle on Highway 14/16/20 in Emblem.
7:41 a.m.: Deputies on Greybull Avenue in Greybull responded to a civil standby request at Greybull Funeral Home and Crematorium.
7:44 a.m.: On C Street in Basin, deputies responded to a civil standby request.
9:41 a.m.: Deputies took information from an individual who expressed concerns about their vehicle being tracked at BHCSO.
5:54 p.m.: Deputies at BHCSO assisted the general public with a scam call.
10:07 p.m.: On Highway 310 in Greybull, deputies initiated a traffic stop. A warning was issued.
11:23 p.m.: Deputies initiated a business check at Maverik Country Store on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
Feb. 21 — 12:36 a.m.: Deputies on Highway 310/Highway 20 in Greybull initiated a traffic stop.
9:00 a.m.: On First Street South in Otto, deputies responded to two missing dogs.
1:31 p.m.: Deputies investigated a scam call about donations at BHCSO.
6:58 p.m.: Deputies on North Main Street in Burlington investigated a vehicle that was reported by an individual. The vehicle was found to belong to a nearby resident.
7:44 p.m.: At BHCSO, deputies assisted the general public.
11:25 p.m.: Deputies initiated a business check at Maverik Country Store on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
Feb. 22 — 12:53 a.m.: Deputies on Highway 310 in Greybull initiated a traffic stop. A warning was issued.
7:42 a.m.: At BHCSO, deputies assisted the general public.
4:58 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop on North Fourth Street/Lane 42 in Basin. A warning was issued.
7:24 p.m.: Deputies on South Sixth Street/Fourth Avenue South in Greybull initiated a traffic stop. A warning was issued.
8:27 p.m.: On Road 40.5 in Shell, deputies handled an accidental 911 call.
8:53 p.m.: Deputies investigated a REDDI report on Highway 14 in Greybull.
9:31 p.m.: Deputies on Highway 14 in Greybull initiated a traffic stop. A citation was issued.
Feb. 23 — 10:38 a.m.: At BHCSO, deputies responded to reported livestock abuse. The issue was turned over to the Wyoming Livestock Investigator.
2:42 p.m.: Deputies investigated a phone scam at Big Horn Federal Savings Bank on North Sixth Street in Greybull. Scam calls claimed cards had been locked and asked for personal information to reopen them. The issue was reported, and Big Horn Fed assisted the one individual who had provided their personal info.
3:07 p.m.: Deputies on Greybull Avenue/South Third Street in Greybull assisted Greybull PD.
3:17 p.m.: At BHCSO, deputies assisted the general public.
6:25 p.m.: Deputies responded to a civil standby request at BHCSO.
6:32 p.m.: Deputies at BHCSO responded to a civil matter.
7:40 p.m.: On Highway 31 in Manderson, deputies initiated a traffic stop.
10:24 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop at Greybull Middle School on North Sixth Street in Greybull. A citation was issued.
Feb. 24 — 10:27 a.m.: Deputies on Horseshoe Lane/Highway 14 in Greybull responded to an injured animal.
5:00 p.m.: On River Drive in Basin, deputies assisted Basin PD when an individual expressed concerns about a vehicle following them.
6:49 p.m.: Deputies handled an accidental 911 call on Highway 20 South/Highway 433 in Manderson.
7:03 p.m.: Deputies at BHCSO assisted the general public.
7:46 p.m.: On 14th Avenue North/North Sixth Street in Greybull, deputies initiated a traffic stop. A citation was issued.
8:43 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop on Highway 20 South in Basin. A citation was issued.
9:50 p.m.: Deputies at Big Horn County Fairgrounds on Holdrege Avenue in Basin assisted community relations when welcoming the wrestling team back from state.
Feb. 25 — 12:23 a.m.: On Highway 20 in Greybull, deputies initiated field contact at Club Dauntless.
1:25 a.m.: Deputies assisted a motorist on Highway 20 South in Greybull.
9:05 a.m.: Deputies at BHCSO responded to a civil standby request.
9:55 a.m.: At BHCSO, deputies assisted an individual with a protection order.
2:13 p.m.: Deputies took information at BHCSO.
5:20 p.m.: Deputies on Highway 31 in Manderson responded to an injured deer.
5:25 p.m.: On Highline Drive in Shell, deputies handled an accidental 911 call.
9:40 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop on Highway 20 South/Greybull River Road in Greybull. A warning was issued.
