• Police Report

The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):

June 1 — A scam phone call was reported to the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office (BHCSO) on Murphy Street. The information was taken.

June 2 — A motorist assist occurred at the BHCSO on Murphy Street. A veteran reported that the vehicle’s battery was dead and the driver was unable to access the vehicle because the hood could not be opened without the keypad lock. Assistance was requested.

June 3 — An ordinance violation occurred on North Sixth Street. A report was received of out-of-town individuals dumping trash in town dumpsters. Disposition: Unfounded.

June 4 — A traffic hazard occurred on Crescent Drive. The hazard was reported and addressed.

An officer assisted the general public at the BHCSO on Murphy Street.

June 5 — An officer provided information on Crescent Drive.

A larceny incident occurred on South Sixth Street.

June 6 — An officer initiated community relations activity at Washington Park on C Street at Lilac Days event.

June 7 — A property damage incident occurred on South Third Street involving a broken rear windshield.

A fire/wildland incident occurred on U.S. Highway 16/20. A fire was reported to have started.

• Sheriff's Report

The following calls were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office: (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the Court:

June 1 - 8 a.m.: A large black tote was reported lost on Highway 14 in Shell. 

2:46 p.m.: Harassment was reported to Manderson Police Department on West Railway Street in Manderson. 

6:06 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident was reported on Highway 31 thirteen miles from Manderson, one person was injured and transported via ambulance. 

8:25 p.m.: An officer assisted Probation and Parole on Lane 35 in Greybull, they were unable to contact the subject. 

June 2 - 9:15 a.m.: A vehicle was reported abandoned with a flat tire on Lane 9 in Big Horn County. 

11:47 a.m.: A caller reported their vehicle broke down on Highway 14 in Shell and would be moved soon. 

5:53 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made at Greybull Apartments on North Second Street in Greybull, officers were unable to locate. 

7:45 p.m.: A business check was conducted at Burlington Bar on South Main Street in Burlington, cleared by patrol. 

8 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report at Greybull Apartments resulted in an adult arrest on North Second Street in Greybull. 

8:33 p.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office assisted Greybull Police Department at Greybull Alliance Church on North Sixth Street in Greybull. 

June 3 - 9:49 a.m.: BHCSO was called to Lane 35 in Emblem regarding a civil issue where two people were arguing over ownership of a cat. 

10:57 a.m.: A caller on Highway 30 in Otto reported their vehicle had been sprayed by a crop duster. 

11:14 a.m.: A dog reportedly fell from the back of a flatbed on Highway 310 between Greybull and Lovell, reported missing. 

3:29 p.m.: A suspicious vehicle was reported at Husky Avenue and Big Horn Street in Burlington, found to be Latter Day Saint missionaries.  

6:13 p.m.: Harassment was reported on North Sherman Avenue in Manderson where a vehicle was allegedly driving slowly in front of the reporting party’s residence, a deputy made contact with the subject and informed them of the issue. 

9:07 p.m.: A motorcycle was reported speeding down Gold Course Road in Basin, officers were unable to locate. 

June 4 - 9:21 a.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported on Road 28.5 in Basin. 

9:30 a.m.: Horses were reported out on Lane 39 in Otto. 

11:07 a.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch assisted Big Lake Police Department from Big Lake, Minnesota regarding information on a potential fraudster living in Big Horn County. 

2:13 p.m.: A caller at Highway 14/16/20 and Road 15 in Emblem requested help fixing a flat tire, cleared by patrol. 

2:47 p.m.: A disabled vehicle was reported in the lane of travel on Highway 14 in Shell. 

8:29 p.m.: A caller reported they would be moving cattle on Road 30.5 in Greybull. 

9:01 p.m.: A business check was conducted at Burlington Bar on South Main Street in Burlington, cleared by patrol. 

June 5 - 11:24 a.m.: A missing dog was reported on Beaver Creek Road in Shell. 

12:49 p.m.: BHCSO dispatch assisted Worland Police Department with information about a Big Horn County resident. 

1:20 p.m.: A citizen complaint regarding a civil matter was taken at BHCSO on Murphy Street in Basin. 

5:08 p.m.: A caller requested information on a trespass order on Highway 14 in Shell. 

5:35 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report on Highway 14/16/20 in Emblem was cleared by patrol. 

June 6 - 5:49 a.m.: A car was reported with a flat tire on the side of Highway 20 in Manderson. 

6:09 a.m.: A calf was reported out on Highway 20 South in Manderson. 

8:16 a.m.: A civil standby was requested as the caller collected their belongings on Highway 14 in Greybull. 

June 6 - 9:32 a.m.: Community relations were conducted at Washington Park in Basin. 

7:11 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made on Highway 20 in Greybull, cleared by patrol. 

8:50 p.m.: A black calf was reported near the roadway on Highway 30 in Otto, officers were unable to locate. 

9:26 p.m.: A car vs. deer accident was reported on Highway 30 in Otto. 

10:47 p.m.: Suspicious activity was reported on Eighth Avenue North in Greybull, cleared by patrol. 

June 7 - 6:47 a.m.: A calf was reported out near Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

1:56 p.m.: A dog was reported running along Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

4:48 p.m.: Search and Rescue was called to assist an injured person who fell from a horse at Post Creek Picnic Area off Highway 14 near Shell, the injured party was transported by helicopter. 

ARRESTS

Camilo Santiago-Ramirez was arrested in Burlington on Wednesday, June 3 on a failure to appear warrant, to serve five days. 

Sean Brady Randolph was arrested on the county line Wednesday, June 3 on a felony bond revocation, bailed after one day.
