• Police Report
The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):
Sep 28 — Suspicious circumstances were reported on C Street.
Fraud was reported at the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office (BHCSO) on Murphy Street involving fraudulent activity on a Basin resident’s bank account.
An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street regarding unwanted phone calls.
An information-only incident was reported at the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street involving a voluntary statement.
Sep 29 — An officer assisted another agency on C Street regarding a home visit.
Sep 30 — An injury accident was reported at Golf Course Road and Richardson Avenue involving a vehicle that overturned into a ditch.
A citizen complaint was reported at Wyoming Highway 36 and Richardson Avenue on behalf of the reporting party’s brother.
Emmanuel Avery Shuman was arrested on a felony charge.
Oct 1 — An officer assisted the general public at the Basin Police Department on West B Street.
A fraud incident was reported on C Street involving a check the reporting party believed to be fraudulent. The reporting party was out of town and planned to contact law enforcement upon returning.
An officer assisted another agency on South Sixth Street.
An information-only incident was reported on South Sixth Street.
Oct 2 — An animal bite was reported on North Seventh Street.
A citizen complaint was reported at the Wyoming Retirement Center on U.S. Highway 16/20 South.
An officer initiated field contact at North Fourth Street and C Street.
An officer initiated activity on the 100 block of North Eighth Street regarding a civil matter.
Suspicious circumstances were reported at the BHCSO regarding a possible theft. The items were later determined to have been misplaced, and no theft occurred.
Oct 3 — An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.
An officer assisted the Basin Fire Department at Valley Diesel & Repair on Lane 40.
A delayed property damage incident was reported at the Basin Boat Ramp on East B Street involving vandalism.
A traffic complaint was received on Golf Course Road.

Sept. 28 - 7:06 a.m.: An injured deer was reported out near Highway 20 South.
8:37 a.m.: Vast Manufacturing, Inc. requested assistance with an ex-employee on Greybull River Road in Greybull.
1:20 p.m.: A missing brown Aussie dog was reported on Faye Street in Greybull.
2:16 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported on Highway 14/16/20 in Emblem.
7:47 p.m.: A caller alleged a handgun was pulled on two individuals over a headgate on Highway 14 in Shell.
Sept. 29 - 8:43 p.m.: A red vehicle was reported parked in the roadway blocking traffic on Forest Service Road 259 in Big Horn County.
1:50 p.m.: A citizen complaint was taken at Thirteenth Avenue North and North Eighth Street in Greybull.
6:59 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at Greybull High School on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
Sept. 30 - 7:06 a.m.: Cows were reported out at Lane 38 and Road 5.5 in Burlington.
12:24 p.m.: A car was reported flipped into the ditch at Golf Course Road and Richardson Avenue in Basin.
Oct. 1 - 5:33 a.m.: A domestic dispute was reported on Center Avenue in Manderson.
7:55 a.m.: A dog was reported out at Highway 30 and Greybull River Road in Greybull.
4:17 p.m.: A scam was reported at Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street in Basin.
4:18 p.m.: A utility call was made on Highway 14 in Shell.
6:07 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at Greybull High School on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
6:51 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at Greybull High School on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
Oct. 2 - 10:20 a.m.: Livestock were reported out on Highway 14/16/20 in Emblem.
10:22 a.m.: Community relations were conducted for the Homecoming parade at Greybull High School on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
1:24 p.m.: A suspicious vehicle was reported on Main Street in Hyattville, officers were unable to locate.
3:20 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at Greybull High School on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
6:50 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at Greybull High School on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
7:40 p.m.: Theft was reported to Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street in Basin.
7:48 p.m.: A black bear was reported on Lane 39 in Otto.
Oct. 3 - 3:35 p.m.: A structure and vehicle fire was reported at Valley Diesel and Repair on Lane 40 in Basin.
3:36 p.m.: A call to assist Basin Fire Department at Valley Diesel and Repair on Lane 40 in Basin was made.
8:35 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at the Homecoming dance at Greybull High School on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
Oct. 4 - 12:19 a.m.: Field contact was made at East River Bridge on Highway 14 East in Greybull.
