The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):

November 4 — Lost Motorola phone on South Fifth Street.

A message was left at the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office (BHCSO) for the Basin Police Chief.

A VIN inspection was done at the BHCSO.

Officer assisted a motorist on North Fourth Street.

Extra patrol was done at the School.

November 5 — Two VIN inspections were done at the BHCSO.

Officer initiated activity at Basin School Zone.

Officer assisted the general public at the Basin Post Office on C Street.

R.E.D.D.I. Report for a SUV on US Highway 16/20.

Police Officer assisted the public at the Wyoming Retirement Center (WRC).

Officer assisted the public on South Fourth Street

Extra patrol was done at the School.

November 6 — Officer initiated activity at Basin School Zone.

Extra patrol was done at the School.

Field contact was made at the Mount Veiw Cemetery.

Officer assisted the general public on North Eighth Street.

Extra patrol was done at the School.

November 7 — Officer escorted the volleyball girls from the school to out of town.

Extra patrol was done at the Basin School Zone.

Extra patrol was done at Mount View Cemetery.

Officer patroled on foot the businesses on C Street.

Extra patrol was done at the School. 

November 8 — A VIN inspection was done at Saam Vet Clinic.

A VIN inspection was done at the BHCSO.

A case of harassment and stalking was reported to the PD.

A business check was done at Basin Market.

An accident with property damage occurred on the corner of South Fourth Street and C Street.

November 9 — A business check was done at the Overland Express Mart.

An officer did a building check at the School.

An officer did a building check at Town Hall

A business check was done at Family Dollar.

Extra patrol was done at Mount View Cemetery.

November 10 — A business check was done at Family Dollar

A VIN inspection was done at the BHCSO.

Extra patrol was done at the WRC.

BHCSO was called with a request to speak to an officer for information.

Extra patrol was done at the School.

A calling reported that a female living with them on South Sixth Street is receiving threats from a male.

Nov. 4 — 12:29 a.m.: Deputies conducted a business check in Greybull.

7:16 a.m.: Three large, white dogs were reportedly loose on an RP’s property and unknown to the caller.

9:54 a.m.: Deputies assisted another agency.

3:00 p.m.: Deputies conducted a business check in Basin.

5:05 p.m.: A REDDI report was received in Emblem.

7:18 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Greybull. A citation was issued.

6:06 p.m.: Deputies assisted a motorist in Greybull.

6:23 p.m.: Debris was reported on the roadway in Basin following a traffic collision involving a vehicle and deer.

6:28 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Greybull. A warning was issued.

6:39 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Basin. A warning was issued.

7:07 p.m.: Deputies conducted a business check in Greybull.

8:02 p.m.: A vehicle accident was reported in Burlington.

Nov. 5 — 9:07 a.m.: Deputies participated in community relations in Greybull.

2:48 p.m.: Deputies assisted a driver whose truck was stuck in the snow in Shell.

3:04 p.m.: A bull with a broken leg was reported in Manderson.

3:39 p.m.: A cow was loose near the highway in Greybull.

7:12 p.m.: An accident involving a vehicle and a cow was reported in Greybull.

8:40 p.m.: A REDDI report involving an SUV was received in Basin.

Nov. 6 — 8:59 a.m.: Sheep were out on the highway in Basin.

9:12 a.m.: A VIN inspection occurred in Greybull.

11:06 a.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Shell. A warning was issued.

1:50 p.m.: Deputies assisted another agency in Greybull.

3:53 p.m.: A rapid SOS ping was received in Otto.

6:38 p.m.: Deputies assisted another agency in Greybull.

11:44 p.m.: Deputies conducted a business check in Greybull.

Nov. 7 — 12:27 a.m.: Deputies conducted a business check in Greybull.

8:59 a.m.: A scam was reported in Burlington.

10:55 a.m.: Deputies assisted with moving cattle loose on the highway in Greybull.

11:22 a.m.: An open 9-1-1 call was received.

12:16 p.m.: A K9 search was conducted in Greybull.

1:32 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported in Basin.

4:22 p.m.: Livestock mistreatment was reported in Greybull.

4:42 p.m.: A REDDI report was received in Burlington.

5:50 p.m.: Deputies assisted the general public.

6:31 p.m.: A cow was out on the road in Burlington.

7:18 p.m.: Sheep were on the highway in Greybull.

8:31 p.m.: An open 9-1-1 call was received in Shell.

12:58 p.m.: Sheep were on the highway in Greybull.

1:54 p.m.: A VIN inspection occurred in Burlington.

2:09 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Manderson. A citation was issued.

2:44 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Manderson. A citation was issued.

3:03 p.m.: A welfare check was conducted in Greybull.

3:06 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Manderson. A warning was issued.

3:36 p.m.: A caller reported livestock not being fed in Greybull.

4:01 p.m.: A combine was reportedly on fire in Emblem.

4:12 p.m.: Cattle were on the road in Burlington.

6:44 p.m.: Cows were loose near the highway in Greybull.

8:10 p.m.: An accidental 9-1-1 call was received in Basin.

Nov. 9 — 9:34 a.m.: Two dogs were running loose on the highway in Greybull.

4:46 p.m.: Cows were out on the highway in Basin.

5:24 p.m.: A traffic complaint was received in Greybull.

6:28 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported in Emblem.
