• Police Report

The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):

April 14 — A VIN inspection was done on Wyoming Highway 30.

An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.

Basin Pd assisted public works with traffic control on South Fourth Street.

Officer assisted Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office (BHCSO) at Wyoming Retirement Center (WRC).

Extra patrol was done at the WRC.

April 15 — A rear-end collision occurred on US Hwy 16/20. 

April 16 — A VIN inspection was done at the Big Horn County Courthouse.

April 17 — An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.

A scam occurred at the BHCSO.

An officer was on West B Street for information only.

Extra patrol was done at Mount View Cemetery.

Extra patrol was done at the school.

April 18 — Five VIN inspections were done at the BHCSO.

A VIN inspection was done on South Ninth Street.

A noise complaint occurred on West E. Street. 

A building check was done at the Basin School Zone.

April 19 — A business check was done at the Overland Express Mart.

Extra patrol was done at Mount View Cemetery.

An officer assisted another agency at the Big Horn County Courthouse.

A suspicious noise was reported at the Big Horn County Fairgrounds.

An officer obtained information on Big Horn Avenue.

April 20 — Extra patrol was done at the school.

A building check was done at Basin Town Hall.

 

 • Circuit Court

Recent court fines and sentences handed down or bonds forfeited in the circuit court of Judge Edward G. Luhm:  

Raymond V. Calvert, Lovell, driving while license cancelled, suspended or revoked if not suspended, $450.

Samuel L. Munjar, Lovell, invalid driver’s license, $140.

Adam M. Redland, Burlington, driving while license cancelled, suspended or revoked if not suspended, $440.

Christopher D. Carabay, Lovell, unlawful contact: rude, insolent or angry touches without bodily injury, jail: 10 days, suspended: 10 days, unsupervised probation: 6 months, $450.

Reagan Alexis Langston, Lovell, unlawful contact: rude, insolent or angry touches without bodily injury, $700.

Speeding in a 70 mph zone:

Wendy Wilson, Sheridan, $15

Speeding in a superintendent’s zone:

Jose Diaz Melendez, Crescent, Fla., $425
