The following calls were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office: (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the Court:

June 23 – 10:14 a.m.: A civil matter was reported on Highway 14 in Shell. 

11:26 a.m.: A scam was reported on Road 29 near Greybull where a caller informed the citizen that they had a package for them, no information was given. 

1:46 p.m.: A citizen complaint was made on Road 30.5 in Greybull. 

1:58 p.m.: A scam was reported on Greybull River Road in Greybull where a 76-year-old man was contacted about a phony warrant for his arrest. 

7:22 p.m.: A utility issue at Fourth Avenue North in Greybull was handled by dispatch. 

June 24 – 5:39 a.m.: A call regarding horses loose on Highway 30 in Burlington was referred to another agency. 

6:21 p.m.: A traffic stop was made and a citation issued on Highway 310 in Greybull. 

8:43 p.m.: Officers conducted community relations at Burlington Schools on School Avenue in Burlington. 

June 25 – 12:18 a.m.: A male corgi with a blue collar was reported missing from Second Avenue North in Greybull. 

9:21 a.m.: Sheep were reporting wandering Highway 30 south of Burlington. 

10:27 a.m.: A cow was reported out on Highway 14/16/20 in Emblem. 

11:24 a.m.: A report of lost property on Second Avenue South in Greybull was handled by dispatch. 

3:25 p.m.: A complaint of water from a pivot at Orchard Bench Road and Road 28 in Basin hitting the roadway was taken. 

6:31 p.m.: A citizen requested information about water usage by their neighbor on Basin Garden Road in Basin. 

8:06 p.m.: An officer conducted community relations at Greybull Recreation District on First Avenue South in Greybull. 

9:16 p.m.: An extra patrol was executed at Wardell Reservoir on Lane 49 in Burlington. 

June 26 – 1:47 p.m.: An out-of-control burn was reported at Road 10.5 and Lane 43 in Otto, Burlington Fire Department responded and was able to quicky extinguish it.  

3:37 p.m.: Guns were reported missing to Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street in Basin. The reporting party, from Montana, claimed they thought they had left their firearms with a friend in town, only for the friend to say they never had. It was reported that they would check with a third party. 

4:20 p.m.: A pipe on the roadway on Highway 30 in Otto was reported. 

8:38 p.m.: An older man in a white pickup was investigated after parking on Road 10 in Burlington for about 3.5 hours; reportedly he was comparing maps to property lines. 

June 27 – 7:32 a.m.: A deer vs. vehicle incident was reported on Highway 30 in Basin. 

5:54 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made at South Fourth Street and Big Horn Avenue in Basin, officers were unable to make contact. 

7:32 p.m.: A traffic stop was made and a citation issued at South Fifth Street and Greybull Avenue in Greybull. 

11:19 p.m.: Sheriff’s officers assisted Greybull Police Department with a domestic dispute on Seventh Avenue North in Greybull. 

June 28 – 11:20 a.m.: A domestic animal problem was reported on Road 43 in Shell. 

9:41 p.m.: Livestock abuse was reported by an anonymous caller on Golf Course Road in Basin; a deputy was unable to locate horses on the reported property and checked livestock in adjacent areas but found no mistreatment.

11:55 p.m.: A traffic stop was conducted and a citation issued at Highway 30 and Lane 39 in Burlington. 

June 29 – 11:42 a.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office assisted Washakie County in responding to a horse accident at Battle Park trailhead on Forest Service Road 24 near Ten Sleep. A 45-year-old woman was reportedly bucked from her horse and life flighted out of the area. 

6:31 p.m.: A civil standby was requested at Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street in Basin. 

8:36 p.m.: A white Toyota Camry was reported stuck in the mud on Red Gulch Road, the call was forwarded to a tow company. 

10:30 p.m.: A traffic stop was conducted and a citation issued on Highway 310 in Greybull.
