• Police Report
The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):
Dec. 29 — An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.
Basin PD took information from DFS on a possible fraud
Dec. 30 — A dog was at large on South Fifth Street and Wyoming Avenue. Officer issued a warning.
An officer was unable to locate a resident on South Fifth Street to issue an ordinance violation.
Basin PD assisted the general public at the Wyoming Retirement Center.
Dec. 31 — The Basin PD assisted the general public at their office.
A citizen complaint occurred at the Overland Express Mart.
Jan. 1 — An officer helped a resident on Holdrege Avenue with her phone that was not working.
Jan. 2 — A blue tick coon hound was found on Cheyenne Street; officer issued a warning.
An officer responded to A Street for a town garbage truck went through the road.
Basin PD assisted the general public at the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office (BHCSO).
Resident heard gun shots over by the fairgrounds on South Fifth Street and Holdrege.
Resident on South Eighth Street heard two gun shots and yelling.
Dillon McFadyen, Basin, was booked on a misdemeanor.
An officer helped a citizen at the BHCSO with information.
Jan. 3 — Basin PD assisted the general public at the BHCSO.
Jan. 4 — An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.
Basin PD assisted a citizen at the BHCSO.
An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.
Field contact was made with a resident on North Seventh Street. An officer gave information.

• Sheriff's Report

Dec. 29 – 12:44 p.m.: A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported on Highway 14 in Shell.
8:25 p.m.: A fire alarm at Burlington Schools on School Avenue in Burlington was cleared by patrol.
Dec. 30 – 12 p.m.: A puppy was reported trying to kill a chicken on Fourth Avenue North in Greybull.
8:30 p.m.: A suspicious circumstance was reported on Road 31 in Manderson.
Dec. 31 – 8:15 a.m.: A responding officer was unable to locate the subject of a suspicious circumstance reported on Main Street in Shell.
8:16 a.m.: A traffic complaint was taken on Highway 20 South in Manderson.
5:51 p.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol on South Sixth Street in Basin.
7:14 p.m.: A blue pickup was reported abandoned at the Antelope Butte pullout on Forest Service Road 244 in Greybull.
7:53 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Greybull Police Department at Tenth Avenue North and North Sixth Street in Greybull.
Jan. 1 – 1:22 a.m.: Reported shots fired around Lane 43 in Big Horn County were unable to be located.
6:37 a.m.: A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported on Highway 30 in Otto.
3:06 p.m.: A wooden block was reported as a traffic hazard on Highway 14 in Greybull.
Jan. 2 – 2:35 a.m.: BHSCO assisted Greybull PD at Family Dollar on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
11:52 a.m.: Antelope Butte Ski Lodge reported a power outage, using auxiliary power to clear lifts.
1:07 p.m.: A dead cow was reported inside a fenced area on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.
4:12 p.m.: A lost ramp was reported to BHSCO on Murphy Street in Basin.
5:20 p.m.: Shots fired were reported near the Big Horn County Fairgrounds at South Fourth Street and Holdrege Avenue in Basin.
6:32 p.m.: Two gun shots and yelling were reported on South Eighth Street in Basin, resulting in an adult arrest.
Jan. 3 -- 1:33 a.m.: BHSCO assisted Basin Police Department on South Eighth Street in Basin.
Jan. 4 – 9:11 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported at Lane 37 and Highway 20 in Greybull.
9:49 p.m.: BHSCO assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol on North Fourth Street in Basin.
ARRESTS
Jayson Dean Koch of Greybull was sentenced serving time on Friday, Jan. 2, to serve three days.
Dillon McFadyen of Basin was arrested on Friday, Jan. 2 in Basin for a probation violation.
