• Police Report

The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):

Feb. 16 — Police assisted another agency on U.S. Highway 20 S.

A phone with no case was found on the ground on North Sixth Street.

A resident reported a suspicious circumstance where he believed someone to be in his apartment a few days ago.

Feb. 17 — Police assisted the general public on South Eighth Street.

Feb. 18 — A yorkie puppy was found running toward the park with no collar on North Sixth Street.

Feb. 19 — A traffic complaint was reported on Montana Avenue.

Feb. 21 — Illegal dumping was reported on Montana Avenue.

A resident made threats to another resident at the Wyoming Retirement Center.

There was a citizen complaint about road rage at South Fourth Street.

Feb. 22 — Found dogs were reported on North Seventh Street.

A resident made threats to another resident at the Wyoming Retirement Center. 

• Sheriff's Report

The following calls were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office: (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the Court:

Feb. 16 – 10:15 a.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office referred a call to assist Park County to another agency. 

2:21 p.m.: A cow reported out on Highway 20 South in Manderson was referred to another agency. 

Feb.1 7 – 9:12 a.m.: A trespassing issue was reported at Greybull Police Department on South Fifth Street in Greybull, handled by dispatch. 

3:40 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at Burlington Schools on School Avenue in Burlington. 

3:53 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made on Highway 310 in Greybull, officers were unable to locate. 

4:06 p.m.: A traffic hazard was reported on Highway 14 in Greybull. 

5:53 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist at Highway 32 and Highway 14/16/20 in Emblem. 

11:08 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at Greybull Rrest Area on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

Feb. 18 – 9:31 a.m.: An accidental 911 call at Wyoming Retirement Center on Highway 20 South in Basin was handled by dispatch. 

9:50 a.m.: Community relations were conducted at Absaroka Head Start Basin-Greybull on Rue Avenue in Basin. 

5:57 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Highway 310 in Greybull. 

Feb. 19 – 9:27 a.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Highway 20 South in Manderson. 

4 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made at Highway 310 and Highway 20 in Greybull. 

5:22 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at Burlington Schools on School Avenue inn Burlington.

6:37 p.m.: A lost dog was reported on Fourth Street in Shell. 

Feb. 20 – 12:03 p.m.: A civil matter was reported to Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street in Basin. 

2:11 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Highway 310 in Greybull. 

3:50 p.m.: Accidental property damage was reported on Greybull Avenue in Greybull. 

4:46 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at Burlington Schools on School Avenue in Burlington. 

10:27 p.m.: A suspicious vehicle was reported on Highway 20 South in Manderson. 

10:53 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Highway 20 South in Manderson. 

Feb. 21 – 9:07 a.m.: A citizen complaint was taken at BHCSO on Murphy Street in Basin. 

12:57 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Greybull Police Department on First Avenue North in Greybull. 

3:39 p.m.:  Community relations were conducted at Burlington Schools on School Avenue in Burlington. 

8:59 p.m.: A controlled burn was reported on Highway 14 in Shell. 

ARRESTS

Jacob Nathaniel Sales of Basin was arrested on Friday, Feb. 20 on a drug court order, served three days.
