• Police Report

The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):

Apr. 06 —An officer assisted the general public at the Basin Police Department on South Third Street.

Acts of vandalism were reported at Washington Park on North Sixth Street involving kids pulling up signs and vandalizing equipment. A warning was given.

A fraud was reported at the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street. The person requested to speak to a Basin officer.

Apr. 07 — Suspicious activity involving trucks at a residence was reported on North Eighth Street.

An officer assisted another agency at Wyoming Retirement Center on U.S. Highway 16/20.

A R.E.D.D.I. report occurred on Highway 14/16/20.

 Apr. 08—A burglary alarm was reported at the TCT West Inc. property on South Fourth Street, involving residential or commercial premises.

A missing wallet was reported on South Sixth Street.

Apr. 09 — A black cow was reported on the roadway along Wyoming Highway 32.

Apr. 10 — Dogs at large were reported on North Sixth Street.

An officer assisted the public at Big Horn Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street.

A utility-related call was reported at the WYDOT Gravel Pit on Wyoming Highway 30.

A utility issue was reported on Big Horn Avenue.

A utility issue was reported at Mount View Cemetery on Wyoming 30 involving a leaking sprinkler head.

Apr. 11 — A utility issue was reported on Willow drive.

A utility issue was reported at South Fourth Street.

A utility issue was reported at North Sixth Street.

Apr. 12 — A lost dog was reported at Big Horn County Library on C Street.

April 6 - 12:59 a.m.: A civil standby was requested at the Hideout on Road 40.5 in Shell as the reporting party packed their bags, the caller was asked to inform dispatch if the situation escalated. 

6:28 a.m.: A black cow was reported out on Highway 20 South in Manderson. 

9:55 a.m.: BHCSO dispatch assisted Park County Sheriff’s Office. 

10:30 a.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office assisted Greybull Police Department at Second Avenue North in Greybull. 

5:06 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol on Road 30 in Big Horn County. 

April 7 - 8:22 a.m.: A possible Facebook scam was reported on Road 34 in Shell. 

12:02 p.m.: Dispatch took a report of an alarm test at Big Horn County Fairgrounds on Holdrege Avenue in Basin. 

1:09 p.m.: A tractor was reported broken down at Road 28 and Orchard Bench Road in Basin. 

7:22 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made on Highway 14/16/20 in Burlington. 

9:46 p.m.: A vehicle with its flashers on was reported on Highway 14 in Greybull, officer was unable to locate. 

April 8 - 8:03 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made at Overland Express Mart on North Fourth Street in Basin, cleared by patrol. 

April 9 - 8:36 a.m.: A scam was reported on Road 7 in Burlington. 

1:11 p.m.: A traffic complaint was made on a vehicle reportedly failing to maintain its speed and lane of travel on Highway 14/16/20, cleared by patrol. 

April 10  - 9:38 a.m.: A lost firearm was located on Lane 32.5 in Shell. 

11:04 a.m.: A suspicious person reported on Lane 32.5 in Shell was cleared by patrol.

4:49 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made on Highway 20 South in Manderson, cleared by patrol. 

4:56 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Manderson Police Department on North Sherman Avenue in Manderson. 

5:06 p.m.: Livestock was reported out on Highway 20 South in Manderson, 

6:53 p.m.: BHCSO dispatch assisted Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office. 

7:14 p.m.: A traffic stop at East River Bridge on Highway 14 in Greybull was cleared with an adult arrest. 

April 11 - 9:28 a.m.: Community relations were conducted at Big Horn County Fairgrounds on Holdrege Avenue in Basin. 

10:06 a.m.: Found property was returned to its owner at BHCSO on Murphy Street in Basin. 

1:20 p.m.: A dog issue was reported on Lane 35 in Emblem. 

1:39 p.m.: A fire was reported behind Greybull Senior Citizens Center on South Second Street in Greybull.

5:22 p.m.: An out-of-control controlled burn reportedly started into trees in Road 10 in Burlington. 

5:40 p.m.: An out-of-control controlled burn was reported on Spur Road in Greybull. 

7:04 p.m.: A black cow was reported out on Highway 30 South in Manderson. 

April 12 - 12:18 p.m.: A false fire alarm was reported at Antelope Butte Ski Lodge on Forest Service Road 830 in Shell. 

2:14 p.m.: A controlled burn was reported growing out of control on Rimrock Road in Greybull. 

6:36 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Basin Police Department on North Seventh Street in Basin. 

6:55 p.m.: Cows were reported out on Highway 30 South in Manderson. 

ARRESTS

Samantha Cook of Greybull was arrested Wednesday, April 8 in Greybull for felony exploitation of a vulnerable adult and felony theft, bailed after two days. 

Jennifer Desiray Schuyler of Basin was arrested Saturday, April 10 in Greybull to be held for another agency, bailed same day.
