• Police Report
The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):
May 4 —A mail scam was reported to the Big Horn County Sheriff’s office (BHCSO) on Murphy Street.
A property damage incident was reported on E Street.
An officer initiated activity at Basin Apartments on South Fifth Street to assist the Department of Family Services. Unable to Locate.
A second officer initiated activity at Basin Apartments on South Fifth Street to assist the Department of Family Services.
May 5 — A dog at large was reported on South SIxth street and a warning was given.
May 6 —An officer initiated activity at Basin Market on South Fourth Street to assist the electric department with traffic control.
A civil standby was requested on North Seventh Street/Unable to locate.
May 7 — An officer assisted the BHCSO at Mile Post 192 on U.S. Highway 16/20 South.
May 9 — A utility call regarding a rental house experiencing sewer backup issues occurred on West E Street.
A traffic complaint was reported involving a teal Volkswagen Beetle traveling north from Manderson near mile marker 191 on U.S. 16/20 South. The vehicle was reportedly unable to maintain its lane for several miles.

May 4 - 2:05 p.m.: Cows were reported out at Highway 31 and Road 43.5 in Manderson, gone on arrival.
May 5 - 3:08 p.m.: Horses were reported out on the reporting party’s property on Lane 39 in Otto.
May 6 - 11:23 a.m.: Two lambs were reported on the side of the road on Highway 20 South in Basin.
12:54 p.m.: A lost dog was reported at Road 11.5 and Highway 30 in Burlington.
1:41 p.m.: A traffic complaint was taken at Highway 14/16/20 and Highway 310 in Greybull.
4:51 p.m.: A traffic complaint was taken on Highway 20 South in Basin.
6:05 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made on a red van allegedly swerving, passing, and near colliding with oncoming traffic on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.
8:25 p.m.: Animal neglect was reported on Beaver Creek Road in Shell.
May 7 - 9:59 a.m.: A traffic hazard was reported on Highway 14 in Shell.
12:23 p.m.: Horses were reported out on the reporting party’s property on Lane 39 in Otto.
1:01 p.m.: Sheep were reported out on Highway 20 South in Basin.
5:12 p.m.: A water dispute was reported on Faye Street in Greybull.
7:59 p.m.: Cows were reported out on Road 43.5 in Big Horn County.
May 8 - 11:11 a.m.: A civil issue reported on Lane 37 in Greybull was handled by dispatch.
5:46 p.m.: A welfare check was called on an individual working around Lane 49.5 in Hyattville, cleared by patrol.
6:21 p.m.: A burn violation was reported on Road 23 in Basin.
11:11 p.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office assisted Greybull Police Department at KOA Campgrounds on North Second Street in Greybull.
May 9 - 5:53 a.m.: A livestock issue was reported on Lane 45 in Basin.
7:19 p.m.: A vehicle was reported stuck at West Ten Sleep Lake Trailhead on Forest Service Road 27 in Ten Sleep, the callers returned to Buffalo and reported their vehicle left there.
11:56 p.m.: A lost dog was reported on Road 29.
May 10 - 4:20 a.m.: A one vehicle accident was reported at Highway 14 and Road 28 in Greybull where the vehicle missed its turn and ran into a ditch. The vehicle was pulled out, no injuries reported.
1:18 p.m.: A utility issue was reported on Rimrock Road in Greybull.
