Wyoming Business Council virtual “participatory-nar” Thursday
“Lemonading: a way of approaching problems or challenges in life that involves remaining positive, optimistic and seeing them as opportunities for growth or improvement.” — Borrowed from Gretty Gasvoda’s Facebook page.
From the Wyoming Business Council: Today (Thursday, Aug. 13), the Wyoming Business Council is attempting something we have never tried before: bringing 1,000 Wyomingites into a single virtual room, at the same time. We will be sharing what we have been hearing around the state and allowing people to weigh in on what they want the state’s economy to become. Attend live: Thursday, August 13, Noon–1 p.m., virtual. Register at wbc.pub/WBC_Huddle.
It’s participatory, not a webinar. The news isn’t what WBC says — it’s what 1,000 Wyomingites say back, live. We’ll have real-time results (word clouds, rankings, a trust pulse) that make for compelling, visual, quotable coverage.
It’s a rare statewide snapshot. When we asked people to describe Wyoming’s economy in one word this summer, the two most common answers were “stagnant” and “potential.” Thursday tests whether 1,000 more voices agree — and what they want done about it.
Chamber membership meeting is this Thursday, noon at the Chamber/American Legion building on C Street in Basin. Please RSVP for meal planning. Bring info about your business and/or events to share.
