Wyoming Funding Summit creates opportunities for businesses, towns
Some people are lost in their fires; others are forged in them.
Representatives of towns and counties are strongly encouraged to attend the second annual Wyoming Funding Summit presented by U.S. Sens. John Barrasso and Cynthia Lummis and Gov. Mark Gordon April 8-12 at Central Wyoming College in Riverton. Send inquiries to kathy-lenz@lummis.senate.gov. The first two days of grant writing are full; however Wednesday and Thursday will be the “meat and potatoes.” For info: https://www.lummis.senate.gov/wyoming-funding-summit/
We are looking for a volunteer who will help organize the chamber’s Entertainment in the Park. It would run Thursday evenings from June 20 - July 25 except July 4. The event is one hour and showcases local talent. An organizer would have to line up the talent, find a sponsor, set up/take down chairs and make flyers. I will assist but am not taking on the full endeavor any longer. It is truly time for a new person with a different perspective to take it on.
Remember that if you need to contact the chamber, the best way to do so is through Facebook or email (basinchamber@gmail.com). We are a 100% volunteer organization and do not always get to phone messages in a timely manner.
