“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” - Margaret Mead
If you are looking for things to do and places to go within the state, check out our Wyoming Staycation FB page. There are so many cool events and places right here in Wyoming. Keeping your travel and vacation funds local is a pretty cool thing to do, too.
Please remember to vote for the 2024 Lilac Queen. The nomination forms and voting boxes are at Town Hall, Security State Bank, Basin Pharmacy and Basin’s Market. Please nominate a woman 60 plus who has made a difference in the community through volunteering. Past queens are Helen Russell, Barbara Ellison Greene, Willa Jackson Ellison, Ellen Cummings, June Hill, Larraine Getzfried, Margaret Brown, Helen Crane, Kay Mowery, Becky Allred, Jennifer Miller, Cindy Schlattmann, Lauriena Curtis, Pat Brown, Juanita Dellos, Shelley King, Charlene Anderson, Barbara Anne Greene, Marie Dutton, Lori Thon and Carmen Olson.
Lilac Days Vendor forms are available at the chamber. Please fill out if you want a booth June 1 at Washington Park. Lilac Days sponsors and chamber members do not have to pay. Thank you to our Lilac Day sponsors thus far: Security State Bank, Big Horn Co-op, TCT, Queen Bee Gardens and Big Horn REA. Our Friday night Man in Tan concert is sponsored by Basin City Arts Center and Cody Regional Health.
Do you know a young lady leaving fifth through 12th grade this year who homeschooled locally or attends BHCSD #4? Please let them know about the Lilac Princess Contest. Information is in the foyer of the chamber.
Thank you, Tom Newman State Farm, for sponsoring Entertainment in the Park again this year. It runs June 20-July 25. We have openings for June 20. The rest are filled up. Thank you, Basin City Arts Center, for helping with the event.
Thank you, Richard Realty, Brandi’s Candies, John Bubla and The County Flower, for your chamber membership renewals.
