Zierolfs top local team at Big Horn Basin Shootout

Local golfers Tom and Nancy Zierolf shot a two-day score of 165 to win the B division’s gross competition at last weekend’s Big Horn Basin Shootout.

The annual 36-hole tournament played out at two sites, with Midway hosting the first 18 Saturday and Green Hills in Worland serving as the site of Sunday’s final 18.

Twenty-four, two-person teams entered the competition.

Finishing in second in B division gross scoring was the team of David Ankeny and Johnny Kiser III, who shot a 172.

First in the net went to Jerry Kaiser and Coy Larkins, with a 137.

In the A division, Karsten and Randy Simmons won the gross with a 136. There was a two-way tie for second, with the Chris Bundren-Jordan McKamey and Ben Mischke-Seth Mischke pairings each carding 137s.

In the net, Aaron Grosch and Jeff Vail captured first with a 130.
