Police Report

The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):
April 8 —  A Basin school zone patrol was done.
Officer answered questions about town ordinance regarding trash and trash collections on South Eighth Street.
A person called the Basin Police Department to request picking up the Legion firearms.
Three general public assists were done at the Big Horn County Sheriff Office (BHCSO).
Officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.
April 9— Two Basin school zone patrols were done.
A suspicious male wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans was seen walking through the school parking lot writing down license plates. He then walked on toward the elementary school playground.
Officer initiated public assist at the First Baptist Church.
A business check was done at the BHCSO.
Two extra patrols were done at the school.
Agency assist was provided at C Street and North Sixth Street.
April 10 — A Basin school zone patrol was done.
A VIN inspection was done at North Eighth Street.
A resident asked to speak to an officer.
Extra patrol was done at the school.
Extra patrol was done at Mount View Cemetery.
April 11 — Two Basin school zone patrols were done.
General public assistance was provided on South Sixth Street.
Extra patrol was done at Wyoming Retirement Center (WRC).
Extra patrol was done at Mount View Cemetery.
Extra patrol was done at the school.
April 12 — Basin school zone patrol was done.
Four VIN inspections were done at the BHCSO.
Information was given on Crescent Drive.
An accident occurred at Big Horn Co-op.
Extra patrol was done at Mount View Cemetery.
Officer was called to the south wing at the WRC.
Extra patrol was done at the school.
April 13— A vehicle was keyed on South Sixth Street.
A VIN inspection was done at the BHCSO.
A welfare check was done at Basin Pharmacy.
Business check was done at Basin Market.
A suspicious person was seen on North Eight Street.
Extra patrol was done at WRC.
Extra patrol was done at Mount View Cemetery.
Extra patrol was done at the school.
April 14 — Business check was done at Overland Express Mart.
Two extra patrols were done at Mount View Cemetery.
Extra patrol was done at the Basin Boat Ramp.
