At the annual meeting of the voters of School District No. 17, Mr. Oliver Irwin was re-elected trustee to succeed himself while Mr. T.K. Bishop was elected to succeed Mr. J.C. Stewart. One other name was placed before the meeting — that of Mr. C.A. Hime, who was the candidate of voters from Orchard Bench and received very substantial support.
Rev. and Mrs. F.C. Wissenbach and Miss Carey Anne were over from Lovell on Sunday last and Mr. Wissenbach held services at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. While here, he stated that this was his last service in Basin as a new pastor had been appointed to the Basin-Greybull charge and would be here shortly. Rev. Geo. P. Scriver of Wheatland is the new man and is soon expected here with his mother.

Edward D. Asay, recently named vocation agriculture instructor for the Basin schools, said Tuesday that work is nearing completion on the new agriculture building constructed just south of the Basin High School.
Residents of School District No. 17 Monday voted overwhelmingly in favor of a $90,000 bond issue to construct a new high school gymnasium and provide needed repairs and remodeling of the two existing buildings.
Mrs. Thos. M. Hyde and Mr. and Mrs. Joe. H. Hayob were hosts at a buffet supper served in honor of Miss Suzanne O’Brien and Arthur Batenhorst on the occasion of their marriage.
Crystal Reifschneider, four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Reifschneider suffered a badly cut left hand Sunday evening when she fell while playing in the yard. Her fingers fell into the blades of a moving lawn mower, and the first joint of the third finger was amputated.

What Lyle Dill described as a “big whirlwind” last Thursday afternoon ripped away half of the roof on the south side of the Legion Hut causing damages estimated at $300.
Activities at Manderson’s Sage Brush Day began at 10 a.m. with the kiddies parade. Winners of the parade were: Chad Rawlings, Michelle Anderson, Barbara and Stewart Gullion, Traci McKim, Kimberly Ilg, the Jow-Wildman youngsters: Cynthia, Howie and Becky, Paul Kraft, and Sharon and Loretta Kraft.
Winners of the main parade included: John Hesco, John White, Jeanette Tolman, Mickey Nelson, The Badland Vigilantes, The One Horse Power 4-H club and the Tyroleans of Worland.

Curt Paxton joined the exclusive hole-in-one club on June 6 when he aced the 152-yard hole No. 7 at Midway Golf Course. The feat was witnessed by his wife Kara; brother, Rick; and Tim Metro.
Diane Hamilton of Hyattville was included on the President’s Honor Roll at Northwest College in Powell. Rhonda Howe, Rachel Wade and Angel Waite, all of Basin, and Maren Winters of Otto have been named to the Dean’s Honor Roll.
Two Burlington men were injured early Tuesday morning when their vehicle struck a cow approximately 10 miles north of the U.S. Highway intersection. Brandon Preator, 22, and Trent Aagard, 18, were transported from the scene of the accident to West Park Hospital in Cody.
