Emergency responders make positive impression

Dear Editor:

Last week, after my children were dealing with an upper respiratory virus and intestinal problems, missing school and seeing doctors for several weeks, I called the Big Horn County Sheriff’s non-emergency number to talk with fire warden Brent Godfrey regarding a check of our home for carbon monoxide. Brent wasn’t in and the dispatcher was to give him a message to return my call. Within minutes of hanging up, the town’s emergency siren went off and an emergency ambulance and two fire trucks along with a police officer were at my home with breathing apparatus equipment being put on and their response to the emergency.

They tested our home’s air and it was zero carbon monoxide. I was truly honored to have the opportunity to personally witness our town’s emergency responders — which included the police, ambulance crew and fire department — and their magnificent team effort in keeping everyone safe, along with their professionalism and bravery in serving our town.
