BHC Fair royalty announced
The 2025 Big Horn County Fair and Rodeo royalty has been chosen. On April 26, a competition was held at the indoor arena at the Big Horn County Fairgrounds.
Competitors had to go through a rigorous series of activities to see who would reign. All the girls performed tremendously, with just a few small things separating competitors in each division.
After riding a pattern which also included the performance of the “Grand Entry,” all competitors participated in an interview section. Participants answered questions not only for the eager judges, but to an attentive audience.
This year’s queen is Brooklynn Paxton, the daughter of Brenton and Justine Paxton. Brooklynn is currently a junior at Riverside High School where she is known for breaking records in basketball and as a fierce competitor in volleyball. Brooklynn holds leadership positions in both Paintrock 4-H Club and Paintrock FFA. She is most at home on her horse working cattle at her grandparent’s feedlot or sorting cattle on the mountain. You can also find her in a tractor helping her parents on the family farm.
Chloe Cauffman is the returning princess. Chloe is the daughter of Stetson and Savanna Cauffman. Chloe is involved in a variety of activities at Burlington Middle School. She is a member of the newly formed Burlington FFA, Swinging Cloverleaf 4-H Club, FCLA, and sports depending on the season. Chloe also enjoys helping on the family farm.
Ellasyn Keisel is the junior princess. Her parents are Chad and Jamie Keisel. Ella loves all things horses, rodeo, day-riding and working cattle on the ranch. You name it, she’s done it. When not on horseback, you can find her playing sports for Greybull Middle School. In her down time, you can find her spoiling her sweet niece and spending quality time with her family.
The royalty will be participating in many events around the Big Horn Basin this summer, most notably, the Big Horn County Fair.
