Jeff Troxel Trio returns to Basin Saturday night

The Basin City Arts Center hosts Jeff Troxel Trio this Saturday, June 21. The concert runs from 7-8:30 p.m. with no intermission. 

Concert goers will enjoy original compositions and innovative arrangements of pop and jazz. Troxel is an award-winning composer and former national flatpicking guitar champion.  He is a graduate of Northwest College (NWC), Berklee College of Music, and the University of Southern California, and is a professor of music at NWC. 

Joining Troxel for this concert is Dr. Zach Paris on the drums. Paris is the director of Instrument Music and Percussion at NWC and is a native Wyomingite. 

Andrey Goncalves, the third member of the trio, is also on staff at NWC. He came to Wyoming via his native Brazil, and later Illinois. Before coming to Wyoming, Andrey was on the music faculty of Olivet Nazarene and Eastern Illinois University. He has a strong background in Brazilian music, B.A.M., Afro-Cuban music, and Pop, and has performed with jazz names such as Fred Hersch, Randy Brecker, Frank Gambale, and Bob Sheppard.

Tickets will be sold at the door. Cost is $15 per adult, $25 per couple, $10 for students in grades 6-12, $15 for student couples.  Kids from fifth grade down get in free.
