Big Horn County Fair Horse Fun Day results

Big Horn County Fair’s Horse Fun Day saw ready participation on Monday, July 21. 

The competition hosted riders across age ranges and skill levels compete in various events, including dummy roping, a stake race, pole bending, barrels, team roping, goat tying and a “Cannon Surprise” hosted by horse superintendent Cannon McKim, which consisted of “cowboy jousting” where contestants attempted to snag a suspended ring with a pool stick from the back of their horse. 

Results are as follows: 

Dummy Roping – Junior: First, Ryder Cauffman; Second, Cinch Bischoff; Third, Veda Morgan. Intermediate: First, Gideon Monson; Second, Oakley Bischoff; Third, Nellie Guccion. Senior: First, Daisy Carpenter; Second, Evelyn Brown; Third, Roseannah Brown. 

Goat Tail Tying – Junior: Grand, Veda Morgan; Reserve, Hailey Mangels. Open: Grand, Mayson Reber; Reserve, Paisley Edelman. 

Stake Race – Junior: Grand, Veda Morgan; Reserve, Cinch Bischoff; Third, Hailey Mangels. Intermediate: Grand, Nellie Guccion; Reserve, Canyon Weinand; Third, Chloe Cauffman. Senior: Grand, Maycee McKim; Reserve, Daisy Carpenter; Third, Maycee McKim.
