Congratulations to county fair parade winners

Congrats to Medicine Lodge Archaeological Site for placing first in the Big Horn County Fair parade.  Second went to PEO International and third to The Wyoming Mermaid.  A huge thanks to the Basin PD, town crew, judges and number-hander-outer gals. (Say that fast three times). It was great not seeing a bunch of candy wrappers and trash on the street and/or sidewalks after the parade. Thank you all for cleaning up after yourselves.

• Big Horn County Library Basin: Chess Club, 2 p.m., Aug. 8. Raptor Day, Aug. 9, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.  Bryant’s Bees will be the special guest at Storytime, Aug. 15 at 11 a.m. 

• Friends of the Basin Library:    FOBL Taco Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 16 from 5:30-7:30 in the Washington Park pavilion at $5 per person will be confirmed.  Please plan to attend the meeting and the fundraiser as our library needs our support more than ever.  See you there!
