• Police Report

The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):

Feb. 9 — An officer issued an ordinance violation citation on South Eighth Street.

Feb. 10 — An officer issued a written or verbal warning for a dog at large at West G Street and North Fifth Street.

Basin PD responded to a disturbance call at the Wyoming Retirement Center for a male resident who was screaming and yelling. All was cleared.

An officer assisted the general public on Crescent Drive.

Feb. 11 — An officer issued an ordinance violation citation on South Eighth Street.

Basin PD assisted another agency on South Fourth Street with a probation and parole request.

Feb. 12 — Lost dog at the South Big Horn Ambulance Bay on North Sixth Street.

Basin PD responded to a domestic animal problem on North Eighth Street.

An officer assisted public works on South Seventh for a flooded basement.

Feb. 13 — Basin PD did a follow up call on a case at Three Rivers Health.

An officer took information at the Big Horn Basin Counseling Services building concerning a car that had been keyed.

There was a loose dog on North Fourth Street.

An officer had an agency assist call on Lane 39, Otto.

• Sheriff's Report

The following calls were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office: (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the Court:

Feb. 9 – 11:45 a.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 text from a snowmobiler reporting they were at mile marker 35 on Highway 14 in Shell and could not remember where they had parked, dispatch handled the call. 

Feb. 10 – 5:14 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at Burlington Schools on School Avenue in Burlington. 

5:41 p.m.: BHCSO dispatch assisted Washakie County Sheriff’s Office. 

6:22 p.m.: A controlled burn was reported on Highway 433 in Manderson.

Feb. 11 – 3:33 p.m.: A possible fire or controlled burn was reported on Highway 20 South in Basin, dispatch handled the call. 

4:13 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Highway 20 South in Manderson. 

5:56 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Probation and Parole at their office on Murphy Street in Basin. 

Feb. 12 – 9:48 a.m.: Horses were reported loose at Yellowstone Bean Company on South Sherman Avenue in Manderson. 

1:34 p.m.: A domestic animal problem was reported on Highway 433 in Manderson. 

10:31 p.m.: A missing dog was reported on Lane 42 in Basin. 

Feb. 13 – 2:07 a.m.: BHCSO was advised of a vehicle repossession on Lane 38 in Burlington. 

8:21 a.m.: A lost wallet was reported on Lane 40 in Basin. 

9:54 a.m.: Community relations were conducted at LDS Church on Cedar Avenue in Burlington. 

11:06 a.m.: A civil matter involving fraud was reported on Road 7 in Burlington with follow-up needed. 

11:55 a.m.: A case follow-up was conducted at Three Rivers Health on Highway 20 South in Basin. 

1:04 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Highway 30 in Burlington. 

5:55 p.m.: BHCSO assisted another agency on East First Street in Manderson. 

8:11 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Basin Police Department at North Seventh Street in Basin . 

Feb. 14 -- 1:08 p.m.: A vehicle vs. dog accident was reported at Lane 53.5 and Highway 433 in Big Horn County. 

2:59 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported on Highway 32 in Emblem. 

6:49 p.m.: A dog was reported out at E Street and North Fifth Street in Basin. 

11:16 p.m.: A suspicious vehicle was reported on Highway 30 in Burlington. 

Feb. 15 – 10:32 a.m.: Three black cows were reported out on Basin Garden Road in Basin. 

2:51 p.m.: A report of threatening messages was taken at Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office in Basin. 

4:03 p.m.: A traffic complaint was taken on Highway 14 in Shell. 

9:57 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at Greybull Rest Area on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

10 p.m.: An extra patrol as conducted at Big Horn County South Airport on Hercules Road in Greybull.

Recent court fines and sentences handed down or bonds forfeited in the circuit court of Judge Edward G. Luhm:  

Katie I Murph, Greybull, DUI: alcohol – incapable of safely driving – first offense within 10 years, jail: 60 days, suspended: 56 days, unsupervised probation: 6 months, $770.

Clinton Linnebur, Basin, sexual assault: first degree – physical force, explicit sexual conduct with a child; kidnapping: facilitate felony – released, all counts bound over.

Ularbek Abdylbekov, Maineville, Ohio, non-English speaking driver, $260.

Clayton J. Draggoo, Basin, property destruction: under $1,000, jail: 30 days, suspended: 28 days, unsupervised probation: 6 months, fee: $570, restitution: $1,660.
