Rodriguez-Williams announces run for secretary of state

CHEYENNE (WNE) – Rep. Rachel Rodriguez-Williams, R-Cody, on Wednesday announced her campaign for Wyoming Secretary of State, emphasizing her commitment to upholding election integrity, promoting pro-business policies and protecting the state’s resources from foreign threats.

First elected in 2020, Rodriguez-Williams now chairs the House Labor, Health & Social Services Committee and serves as chairman of the Wyoming Freedom Caucus.

“As Wyoming’s chief election officer, the Secretary of State plays a vital role in ensuring our elections are secure, fair, and transparent, giving every voter full confidence in the process,” she said in a news release. “I plan to continue the work I started in the Wyoming House to protect the integrity of our elections and build lasting trust with Wyoming voters.”

In addition to election oversight, the secretary of state regulates business registrations, including corporations, LLCs and partnerships, as well as securities across Wyoming.
