Jam on Thursday…yard sale on Saturday

This week kicks off the Basin City Arts Center Summer Jam. Bring your voice, bring your instrument and lawn chairs to Washington Park in Basin at 7 p.m. There will also be jam sessions June 25, July 16 and July 23. For more information contact DeAnn Jensen at 605-222-1577. 

Get your townwide yard sale forms in by this Thursday at 5 p.m. The cost to be on the map is $5. The forms are in the foyer of the chamber at 407 West C Street or at the Basin Republican Rustler at 409 West C Street. Maps will be available for pick up at 7:55 a.m. on June 20. No maps will be given out before this date and time. Please be respectful and don’t show up at yard sales early.

Fair parade entry forms should be out this week. The parade is August 1 at 10 a.m.

• Big Horn County Library: Closed June 19 for Juneteenth. 

• Greybull Rec: Golf camp at Midway Golf, June 22-26. Sign up by June 19. Roller skating Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. through July. No Friday or Saturday nights. Two-day science camp, July 6-7 for grades 2-6. The fee is $2 per person. Pre-register by June 29 by calling 307 765-9575. 

• Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site: A few spots open for Flying Fishing lessons; first one is June 27, also June 27. Geology Hike at 6 p.m. Family Fun Day, July 11, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. 

• Basin City Arts Center: Father’s Day breakfast, June 20, 8 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Dads are free. Free will donations accepted.

• Greybull Museum: Archaeology of the Bighorns with Bill Matthews, June 25, 6:30 p.m. 

• Basin First Baptist: Wednesdays, Men’s Recharge at 6:30 p.m. Church service on July 12 will be at Greybull Community Church (formally First Presbyterian). Two services 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Golf scramble, June 27. Vacation Bible School is July 13-17 in Brain. 

• Lovell Area Chamber: Mustang Days this week.
