• Police Report

The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):

June 8 — A domestic animal incident was reported at W F Street and North Seventh Street involving dogs at large.

A property damage incident occurred at Washington Park on C Street involving a damaged windshield.

An officer assisted another agency at Mile Post 257 on U.S. Highway 310 for a Highway Patrol agency assist.

A dog was found at Cottonwood Cottages on C Street.

June 9 —An officer initiated activity at Wyoming Highway 30 and Greybull River Road, assisted another agency with Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office (BHCSO) with a traffic complaint.

An officer assisted the general public at Overland Express Mart on North Fourth Street with a request to unlock a silver Subaru WRX.

A utility call was received from Riverside Middle/High School on W B Street regarding an overflowing swimming pool. 

A lost domestic animal incident occurred on Holdrege Avenue involving a white pug last seen at 712 South Eighth Street.

June 10 — A domestic animal incident occurred at Washington Park on C Street involving a pug running loose in town, last seen crossing C Street heading down an alley.

A utility call occurred at West G Street and North Eighth Street.

An officer assisted the general public at the BHCSO on Murphy Street.

A R.E.D.D.I. report occurred at Mile Post 192 on U.S. Highway 16/20 involving a black Mercedes traveling at over 100 mph.

June 12 — A property damage incident occurred on North Fifth Street.

A missing person report occurred on North Sixth Street. The individual was last seen approximately 30 minutes prior with an unknown direction of travel and was subsequently located safe.

June 13 — An officer assisted another agency with a traffic stop at South Fourth Street and South Street.

A citizen complaint occurred at Big Horn Fairgrounds on Holdrege Avenue. A citation was issued.

An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.

June 14 — An officer initiated community relations activity at Big Horn Fairgrounds on Holdrege Avenue.

June 8 - 11:06 a.m.: A dog was reported found on Lane 38 in Burlington. 

11:16 a.m.: A dog was reported found at Alkali Road and Red Gulch Road in Shell. 

9:21 p.m.: A citation was issued in a traffic stop at South Fourth Street and South Street in Basin. 

June 9 - 7:47 a.m.: Officers were unable to locate the subject of a traffic complaint at Highway 30 and Greybull River Road in Otto. 

3:40 p.m.: Cattle were reported on the highway at the intersection of Highway 310 and Highway 14/16/20. 

June 10 - 6:52 a.m.: A lost collie was reported on Lane 39 in Otto. 

12:03 p.m.: A lost dog was reported on South Eighth Street in Basin. 

3:47 p.m.: A fire was reported on the south side of Paintrock Creek about 7 miles east of Hyattville. 

June 11 - 6:21 p.m.: A civil standby was requested for a Park County address. 

7:54 p.m.: A car vs. deer accident was reported on Greybull River Road in Greybull. 

9:53 p.m.: A noise complaint was taken on Highway 20 in Greybull, possibly large caliber firearms, cleared by patrol. 

June 12 - 8:22 a.m.: Trail livestock were reported out on Highway 14 in Greybull. 

7:42 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at the Greybull Rodeo Grounds on Road 26 in Greybull. 

8:16 p.m.: Property damage was reported at Greybull Rodeo Grounds on Road 26 in Greybull. 

9:11 p.m.: An officer assisted the general public at Greybull Rodeo Grounds on Road 26 in Greybull. 

9:26 p.m.: A black cow was reported out on Highway 20 in Manderson, officers were unable to locate. 

June 13 - 9:25 a.m.: A citation was issued in a traffic stop on South Fourth Street and South Street in Basin. 

10:05 a.m.: Community relations were conducted on Greybull Avenue in Greybull. 

1:12 p.m.: A traffic complaint was taken on Highway 20 in Basin. 

1:55 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported on Highway 32 in Emblem. 

3:59 p.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office assisted the public with a question regarding a civil issue at their office on Murphy Street in Basin. 

6:12 p.m.: A tire was reported as a traffic hazard on Highway 14/16/20 in Emblem. 

6:20 p.m.: Community relations were conducted on Greybull Avenue in Greybull. 

7:22 p.m.: Cows were reported out on Highway 14 in Shell. 

9:39 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported on Orchard Bench Road in Basin. 

10:06 p.m.: Suspicious circumstances were reported at Highway 20 and Greybull River Road in Greybull. 

June 14 - 1:15 a.m.: BHCSO assisted Greybull Police Department with a domestic dispute on North Fifth Street in Greybull. 

11:39 a.m.: BHCSO assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol on Highway 30 in Burlington. 

4:46 p.m.: A civil standby was conducted at First Avenue North and South Fifth Street in Greybull. 

6:38 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Greybull Police Department with a disturbance on South Sixth Street.
