Kudos to the fair board for their work

Despite rumors and innuendos, the Big Horn County Fair is happening. There was never a plan by the commissioners or fair board to cancel the fair. But stories of the demise of the fair spread far and wide.

Last week, the fair board met. Despite being behind the 8 ball they worked their heinies off. Some of the events from past fairs are back including dress-a-pet and a pie-eating contest. The regular events such a pig wrestling, rodeo, and demo derby are scheduled. They added a teen dance and a Tuff Truck event. They lowered grandstand event prices to make them more affordable for families.

The fair book is out, thanks to the hard work of the fair coordinator, Dusty Miller. In the office, Amanda Otto is busy posting information on the fair’s Facebook page.
