Rebels own the Lady Blue in three-set homecoming victory

The Lady Rebels had the Homecoming script written and performed it perfectly Friday as they scored a three-set victory over Shoshoni, 25-22, 25-21, 27-25.

The Lady Blue put up a fight but Riverside was not to be denied the win on their home court before hometown fans.

Basin native elected to represent Fifth Judicial District on Wyoming State Bar Governing Board

The Wyoming State Bar has announced that Jennifer L. Kirk, a deputy county attorney from Basin, has been elected commissioner of the Wyoming State Bar to represent the Fifth Judicial District, which consists of Big Horn, Hot Springs, Park and Washakie counties. Kirk will serve a three-year term.

It was the best week in many years for a Lady Rebel volleyball team; one the athletes will long remember. The netters registered three wins, beating Greybull, Rocky Mountain and Meeteetse in that order, but the two most important wins were over conference opponents Greybull, 27-25, 25-13, 25-17, and Rocky Mountain, 25-14, 25-14, 25-20.

At the Big Horn County School District 4 Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8, Superintendent Dave Kerby said they are pleased with the first two weeks of school. He added they are trying to follow the rules the best they can. This has included wearing masks during transitions and when six feet of social distancing could not be met.
